IMP BARITE - Barium sulphate ( or Barium sulfate ) is the inorganic compound with the chemical formula BaSO4. It is a white crystalline solid that is odourless and insoluble in water. It occurs as the mineral barite, which is the main commercial source of barium and materials prepared from it. The white opaque appearance and its high density are exploited in its main applications. It is used principally as a
protection agent for Radiation Shielding in Medical Industry.

IMP BARITE is non-corrosive, non-toxic and flammable. IMP BARITE is a non-hazardous product.
PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES
Specific Density : 4.48g / cm3
Particles Sizes : 45 to 75 microns
Molar Mass : 233.43g / mol
Solubility : Insoluble in water (Low)
pH : 6.8 to 7.2 (slurry)
Melting Point : 1345簞C . Does not decompose by heat nor react with other
chemicals at room temperature.
Fire Hazard : Not flammable or Combustible
Colour : Pinkish white to reddish
Odour : Odourless
Packing : In 50kg paper sack, palletised into 2mt wooden pallets, wrapped
with polythene plastic cover and strapped.

HANDLING PROCEDURE RECOMMENDATION

  • Wear suitable protective clothing and glove when handling the product.
  • Avoid inhalations of the product powder.
  • Avoid eye contact with the product powder.
  • Wear goggles or full-face shield to protect the eyes and nose.
  • Store the product in well-ventilated and dry area.
EFFECTS OF OVER EXPOSURE
INHALATION : Excessive inhalation of the product powder may cause irritation of the
respiratory system.
May cause amitosis if inhaled over prolonged period.
EYE CONTACT : Product may cause irritation to the eyes.
SKIN CONTACT : Product may cause temporary staining of the skin.
INGESTION : Product is inert but may be harmful if ingested in large quantity.
FIRST - AID PROCEDURES
INHALATION : Call a physician. If breathing is irregular. If breathing stopped, administer
artificial respiration immediately.
EYE CONTACT : Flush eyes with large amount of water immediately.
Call physician if irritation persists.
SKIN CONTACT : Immediately wash skin with soap and water
INGESTION : If swallowed and the person is conscious, immediately give large amount
of water and induce vomiting. Get a physician.

SPILL AND DISPOSAL

IN THE EVENT OF A SPILL OR DISCHARGE:-

  • Wear suitable protective clothing and glove.
  • Carefully sweep up and remove the spill.
  • Dispose the spill in accordance with all the applicable Federal, State and the Local Environmental
    Rules and Regulations.

Lead Sheet are important product made from Pure Lead / Lead alloy. Lead Sheet have major importance in chemical and related industries as Lead Metal being resistant againts wide range of chemicals.

Lead Sheet are also used in x-ray and gamma-ray protection, building construction for roofing and flashing, shower pans, flooring, vibration damping and soundproofing. Lead Sheets are used in chemical industries and building construction is made from either Pure Lead or Lead Antimonial Alloy up to 6% normally. Calcium-Lead and Calcium-Lead-Tin Alloys are also suitable for many of these applications of Lead Sheets Manufacturing.

We offer Lead Sheets from 0.5mm to 60mm thickness, length up to 80' feet and width up to 6.5' feet subject to the thickness.
